The Wakefield Third Sector Covid Response Fund


Wakefield and District Health and Community Support

Grants are available for individual organisations of £1,000 to £5,000.


Grants of up to £15,000 are available for collaborative bids where a single organisation has been identified as the lead bidder.

Round Two opens on Tuesday 4th May and closes at 12 noon on Tuesday the 1st June 2021.

The second round of the Wakefield Third Sector Covid Response Fund has been launched by Wakefield and District Health and Community Support.  The funding will provide financial support for community groups, charities and social enterprises to implement recovery strategies as a response to the impact of Covid-19.


Clubs in Crisis Fund

A one-off grant up to £1,021

12 noon on the 5th May 2021.

This fund will specifically support organisations promoting and delivering sport development outcomes (primarily for young people aged 5-25).  It is anticipated that some organisations will require urgent funding for financial reasons and others will funding to adapt their offer ensuring they can resume Covid-safe operations.  Eligible costs can include:


Direct project costs including equipment and kit

Staff costs related to the project including apportioned management time

Apportioned core costs

External monitoring and evaluation of projects


Volunteer expenses

Small capital expenditure e.g. changing facilities, resurfacing a play area or IT equipment) where a sustainable plan is in place for ongoing upkeep and maintenance.
